Ground Thawing Heated Blankets by Powerblanket are extra hot blankets that thaw frozen ground, keep vehicle or equipment engines warm, and effectively melt dangerous ice dams, melt snow and ice from roofs, walkways, and construction areas. The high watt density in Powerblanket Extra-Hot ground thawing heated blankets will change the way you thaw ground in really cold weather. This line of Powerblanket flat electric heating blankets provides a higher watt density and hotter temperature than the concrete curing blankets they resemble. They run between 30-40 watts/square foot, and have a max temperature of 150F +/-10F. Extra-Hot thawing blankets are designed to thaw around one inch of frozen soil per hour on average.
- Heats to a preset 150°F ± 10°F / 65.5°C ±5°C. Provides higher heat control when combined with a thermostatic controller.
- Melt snow and ice from roofs, walkways, and construction areas.

- Heavy-duty, water resistant rip stop black vinyl material with a cold crack rating of -20F°.
- Extra-Hot XTREME heated blankets are designed for extremely cold climates (Alaska and Canada) and made with a more supple grey vinyl material that has a cold crack rating of -60F°.
